In response to the call for promoting the integration of technological and industrial innovation development put forward at the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and to help students gain a deep understanding of the current development status and future trends of domestic Internet enterprises, enhance their understanding of technological innovation practices, and promote the innovation of new engineering talent cultivation models, the School of Intelligent Science and Technology, in collaboration with the Suzhou Campus Office of the Graduate School, organized a group of undergraduate and graduate students to visit the East China Headquarters of Tencent on May 23. The visit was led by Liu Haohan, a counselor of the school. This activity also leveraged the advantages of the school-local cooperation of the Suzhou Campus.

After deeply experiencing the staff canteen, the students first arrived at the Tencent Exhibition Hall. Under the guidance and introduction of the tour guide, the students visited the exhibition hall. Through immersive experiences, they gained an in-depth understanding of Tencent's technological ecosystem and innovative examples. The exhibition hall, designed with the concept of digital coexistence, systematically displayed the development journey of Tencent and, through interactive installations, presented the user-centered development logic in a panoramic view.

In the Digital Culture Experience Hall, the virtual scenes of Digital Dunhuang vividly demonstrated the new model of the integrated development of traditional cultural elements and modern technology. In the Industrial Digitalization Hall, the students focused on Tencent's cutting-edge achievements in the field of technology implementation, such as the simulated aircraft flight system that aids in the training of Chinese pilots and the integration of digital technology with the energy industry, which has supported the country's low-carbon development.

The students listened attentively to the tour guide's introduction of the new technologies in the exhibition hall and actively engaged in questions and interactions.

Subsequently, the Tencent Group Campus Recruitment team delivered an engaging introduction to the company and a campus recruitment presentation for the students. The campus recruitment head interacted actively with the students and prepared exquisite gifts for those who enthusiastically answered questions.

During the presentation, the campus recruitment head emphasized Tencent's corporate vision of being user-oriented and promoting technology for good. He also introduced the company's diversified business layout. In particular, the in-depth cooperation between Tencent and the School of Intelligent Science and Technology of Nanjing University in the field of multimodal recognition is contributing to the implementation of the national digital upgrade strategy.

Taking Tencent's 2025 intern recruitment plan as an example, the campus recruitment process was fully introduced, including the timeline for campus recruitment, categories of job positions, and methods for submitting resumes.

This event also specially invited alumni from the Class of 2009 of the School of Computer Science to share their personal experiences and insights in aspects such as career choice and the preparation of corresponding career skills, as well as practical work experiences at Tencent. Finally, the campus recruitment head also conducted one-on-one diagnostic interviews with the students regarding their resumes, career planning, and career development directions.

This corporate visit not only enabled the students to gain a deeper understanding of Tencent's business lines and job requirements, but also allowed them to closely experience the technological charm of Tencent through on-site exploration and communication. This enhanced their awareness of career planning and laid a foundation for their future career paths. The School of Intelligent Science and Technology will continue to organize the “Intelligence in Action Corporate π Team” series of activities to visit companies, enhance students' career planning awareness, clarify their career directions, and help them contribute to the country's goal of becoming a strong technological power.
