On May 15, 2025, the AI + Manufacturing Exchange Meeting between Nanjing University School of Artificial Intelligence and Tsinghua University Yangtze River Delta Research Institute was successfully held in the East District, Room 530 of Nanyong Building. Vice Dean of the School of Artificial Intelligence, Sheng CaiFeng, received Li Jichun, Director of the Strategic Research Center of Zhejiang Tsinghua Yangtze River Delta Research Institute and Secretary-General of the Yangtze River Delta Intelligent Industry Hundred Talents Association, and his delegation to discuss matters related to the cooperation of industry, academia, and research. The meeting was presided over by Sheng CaiFeng.
Sheng CaiFeng, on behalf of the School of Artificial Intelligence, extended a warm welcome to Li Jichun and his delegation for their visit and exchange. He provided a detailed introduction to the school in terms of its academic foundation, faculty, talent cultivation, academic development, and scientific research. He mentioned that the school encourages its teachers to step out of the campus and engage in cooperation and exchanges with enterprises to facilitate project collaborations. At the same time, he pointed out that the school has accumulated relatively rich experience in the cooperation of industry, academia, and research, and has also achieved certain results. He looks forward to both parties being able to seize the points of connection through exchanges, continuously strengthen cooperation, jointly promote the empowerment of manufacturing by artificial intelligence, work together, and achieve innovative win-win results.
Li Jichun, on behalf of the Tsinghua University Yangtze River Delta Research Institute, expressed his gratitude to the School of Artificial Intelligence for their warm reception. He provided a detailed introduction to the Yangtze River Delta Intelligent Industry Hundred Talents Association in terms of innovation consortium, academic guidance, policy support, talent support, and major application scenarios. He mentioned that the Association focuses on five key technology routes, including intelligent robots and embodied intelligence technologies, and industrial process inspection solutions based on computational spectral technology, to deeply explore the empowerment of manufacturing by artificial intelligence and to promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. He looks forward to further strengthening cooperation and exchanges between the two sides to promote the deepening of scientific research layout and industrial upgrading.
